The 130 year old historic garden at ‘Bongalabi’ along Braidwood Road in Lake Bathurst will open its gates to the public this weekend.

Over the past 20 years owners Peter and Margie Mullins have planted hundreds of roses camellias and may bushes to compliment the existing homestead.

Margie says all proceeds will go towards the Tarago Preschool Association.

Shadow Minister for Primary Industries Steve Whan says he feels shocked and betrayed by revelations that have surfaced from the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

The enquiry has delved into powerbroker Eddie Obeid's alleged business dealings and  has unravelled the extraordinary amount of power the former back bencher wielded.

Mr. Whan insists he like his colleagues feel let down if what's alleged turns out to be true.

National Archives Management in Canberra have told a parliamentary committee that it wouldn't be practical to re - locate storage for its classified documents in Goulburn.

Assistant director Cheryl Watson says the move would cost $10 million dollars to connect a fibre-optic Network with government offices in Canberra.

The comments come after Goulburn Mulwaree Council agreed on spending $150,000 for a business plan to turn Goulburn into a storage precinct.

Fairfax also reports staff have complained about suggestions of travelling an extra 90 kilometres to and from work every day.
