The state government has been accused of stacking the agency responsible for protecting the Shoalhaven, Wingecarribee and Goulburn's drinking water with pro-mining delegates.
Primary Industries Minister, Katrina Hodgkinson has replaced the entire board of the Sydney Catchment Authority including a new chairman who is the former director of two of Australia's largest mining companies.
On the board include Shoalhaven Water Manager Carmel Krogh, Goulburn Mayor Geoff Kettle and highlands based former broadcasting executive Nigel Milan.
Wingecarribee Deputy Mayor, Clr Larry Whipper says the government appears to be protecting the interests of the mining industry, at the expense of our drinking water.
