Wind farm energy efficient funding

The Southern Tablelands Gullen Range Wind Farm has announced a funding milestone and in so doing has delivered 50 clean energy grants to local homes.

 

The programme is the first of its kind in Australia and enables residents and businesses within five kilometres of the wind farm to apply for grants to make their homes more energy efficient.

 

A $6,500 grant is given to eligible applicants and this is typically spent on solar PV or solar hot water, although it can be used for other energy efficiency measures.

 

To date, 54 houses have had work completed to improve energy efficiency.
