GMC questions cost of local govt elections

While co-ordinating with the NSW Electoral commission to conduct its election of councillors next year, the Goulburn Mulwaree Council is voicing concern at the costs involved.

 

A report to council this week stated that the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal was to report to the Local Government minister in August about the matter.

 

General managers of councils in the Canberra region have become concerned at increasing costs.

 

Goulburn Mulwaree GM, Warrick Bennett says the matter will be taken up with the minister.
