One who flew into the Rocky Hill substation

Essential Energy are blaming Tuesday afternoon's power outage in Goulburn on a bird that flew into the Rocky Hill zone substation.

The disruption left 4300 residents and businesses without power for more than an hour on the outskirts and rural areas to the south.

Regional General Manager Phillip Green says they'll be trying to prevent the same situation from happening again.
