Truck crash on Hume the result of driver falling asleep at the wheel

Goulburn Police say the driver of a semi trailer that rolled on the Hume Highway at Breadalbine on Monday morning fell asleep.

The crash happened near Cullerin Road and blocked north bound traffic.

Salvage crews had a massive clean up operation, and it wasn't until late Monday afternoon that the other north bound lane was re-opened.

Police say the driver returned a negative breath test result and was in a state of shock.
